Had a emergency come up and we had to cancel our reservations, we gave a 11 day notice. The old lady on the phone was completely rude and said we couldn’t get a refund, i said I didn’t think it was fair ans she hung up on me! Yes, its pretty there,,, a lot of places in Colorado are pretty without the lack of service ir being hateful and rude
My family has made Castle Lakes our summer home for 25 years and it never gets old! Monica and Ben are some of the best people you could have as hosts and they do an amazing job at making your vacation a priority. I can speak for the entirety of my family when I say; once you stay, you won't want to leave! Thank you Fuller's for 25 great years! Looking forward to many more at Castle Lakes!
My family has been traveling to Castle Lakes for over 30 years now, and we are still coming back every single year. Making the 14 hour drive from Texas every summer to experience this campground and Lake City is something I will continue to do for years to come. Very close access to numerous hiking trails, fishing spots, and ATV trails. Coming from a family that enjoys spending time with each other, this is also an awesome place to really just relax and take in the scenery surrounding the campground. Whether I’m staying in a tent, a cabin, or RV, I’m always leaving with new memories every time I leave this place. My relatives and I consider Castle Lakes to be our secret spot when visiting Colorado lol. Attached are some of my favorite pictures from the past couple years
Castle Lakes is hands down the best campground in Lake City. Clean, spacious campsites with breathtaking views! The owners are very accommodating and amazing people in general. In the several years that my family has stayed here, we have never had any complaints and always find ourselves wanting to stay longer. If you find yourself needing a place to stay while in Lake City, you should definitely check out Castle Lakes!!
We stayed at this campground for 5 nights the last weekend of the season. We spent our time riding the high altitude UTV trails in the area which took us higher than 14,000 feet. Fall brings incredible colors to the area. The campground features full hookups for RV's and the staff is incredibly friendly. The sites and terrain are very unique and I intend to return and stay at this location on a future vacation. One of my photos is the lake at the Campground and the others are samples of the nearby sites while on our rides.
