Amazing campground in the pines! Great for families with a playground and central lodge. Perfect place to relax or head out on an adventure with trails at the end of every road, a gorgeous lake for fishing or recreating and rivers a short drive away. The staff is very helpful and always go above and beyond!
This place is amazing ! The store staff and host are incredible and very helpful. Such a nice quite spot tucked in an old growth Ponderosa forest. Prefect spot for setting up a base camp to explore the area, so much to do right out the camp. We also enjoyed hang out, fishing and paddle boarding at Williams Reservoir just down the road. We understand why people spend weeks and return every year using Sportsman's Campground as their home base!
This was my first trip up and I absolutely enjoyed it. I was car camping and stayed at the tent site. It was nice to have access to the restrooms and showers in the lodge. The staff were very friendly and made me feel welcome. Thanks all for the memorable experience!
We would have had a 5 star experience if it wasn't for the pine pollen! Lol
Of course it isn't the campground's fault.
But having family with allergies. We had to leave early, because it was unbearable. The allergy meds werent even working. Note to self. Don't go in June.
Campground and lodge with bathrooms and showers were clean and tidy.
Very friendly staff.
They have a general store which helped since we forgot eggs! Lol
The sites have huge fire rings.
There's also horse rides through a different company within the campground.
This is like stepping back in time. As you travel down a mountain road and find this treasure of...well most anything you need generals store for camping and adventure! So neat and clean and refreshing!
We did not stay at the camping sites but great place!
Really friendly owner too!
