Camp clean and well maintained.
Host hard working, helpful and friendly.
Camp layout leaves alot to be desired... 4 miles off the highway up a rough and rocky dirt road a d the campers were squished together in a parking lot. You have the whole mountain, space the transient campers out in the forest so you feel like you are camping in the wilderness, not at Walmart!
Stayed in one of their RV trailers and we had a great time. The trailer was clean and enough room for myself and the wife and our two French Bulldogs. The camp hosts, Travis and Terry, were very polite and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Carter Creek blew away our expectations! The host, Terry, makes sure that it is clean and well managed. Thoroughly enjoyed out time there!
Carter Creek is awesome. There are 7 cabins and a few trailers ready for rent. There's are a few camp spots for renting it too. There is no cell reception (Verizon or AT&T) while I was up there. It is a fun place for kids and dogs. The large cabin (#7) had a full size loft bed and a bed room with a full size bed and a bunk bed set. There is running water until the last 4 weeks Carter Creek is open.
There are signs that indicate where to park ATV's, as they aren't permitted in the camp site.
This place is quiet, and beautiful. They have 4 ATV's (4 wheelers) and fat tire bikes for rent. There are lakes nearby too.
I'm going again, no doubt about it. Great place, great experience.
Loved our time on the campground. The host was absolutely lovely! She was always ready to help and so nice to talk with. There’s is absolutely no WIFI, so get ready to completely unplug. The hiking trail was so nice and peaceful, it’s beautiful outside at night. The cabins were cozy and warm and the RV was spacious and clean.
I want to make this an annual thing for our family.
