Do not be fooled by the naming of this campground (rating based solely on this alone). Our group made the mistake of booking this place thinking it was at the Sand Hollow RV park and boy were we disappointed when we arrived. GPS directions when you did voice input even took us to where we thought we were staying at the State Park. This place is right on a highway behind a gas station and it's not near Sand Hollow St Park/lake, so not a happy camper in that regard. I was really hoping to be able to be right there by the dunes and all the trails but definitely not the case here. Proper naming probably should be Hurricane RV resort! You can even tell in some of the reviews that people are getting it confused with the state park. If you're looking just for a few nights stay and not wanting to stay at or near the state park this place would probably be just fine. The gas station is nice and offers a lot of convenience and the park seems to be pretty close to a lot of other attractions, especially if you have a car in tow. The park will also be a lot nicer once the trees grow up a bit. Overall not a bad place, just wish it was named different so that we did not make that mistake.

Decent campground. The sites are all rocks with a huge slant/curb to get up to it. There’s no fire pit. And it’s super loud because of the highway right there.

They have laundry but it closes at 8, the game room is only open till 6, and they have what they call a “dog park” but it’s literally the smallest patch of grass with a fence around it.

Book elsewhere! This place is horrible. The dog parks are constantly full of dog poop. Plus flooding whenever it rains or they have the sprinklers on. Long term tenants letting their dogs poop all over in other sites that never gets cleaned up. There are weeds everywhere. The dumpster area is always filthy. People throw their trash bags on the floor and no one cleans it up. Street lights are constantly off and it’s unsafe to be out at night. Hopefully you are comfortable with cops because you will get to be on a first name basis with how much they are here. They allow anyone in. There are aggressive dogs off leash who attack other dogs and they are allowed to stay. Kids bullying and threatening to shoot other kids and having the cops called on them yet the owner allows them to stay. Plus the criminals they keep here and that lurk around the place. People pooping in showers. Drugs found in bathroom. The bathrooms smell horrible because of the sewer problems and cigarette smoke.. Wash machines broken often. There is no speed bumps or signs for when the children are outside playing. The owner will change your rent with no notice. There is a “resort fee” which I’m guessing covers the putting green, pickle ball court and kids play area. There is a pool table that you have to pay for and a club house that has a tv and some chairs. It is right on a main road and is loud all the time. There is sink holes forming. In the winter pipes will freeze and burst most likely all over your camper- that’s what happened to us. Took them days to repair. Water would be shut off without notice and no discount offered. When we talked to the office about it they were rude. I have seen many people come in and quit because of how the owner runs the place. They have a new manager in and she is doing a great job trying to fix the things that she can.

I live here. Best view in town. Abby- the manager is an ABSOLUTE sweetheart and is very accommodating and easy going. The spot are beautiful, with plenty of room for your rv and trailers. High water pressure! And not to close to other campers unless your in a small spot. Overall- well done. And props to Abby!

Amazing views. Great location. Clean park and bathrooms. Abby, the manager is truly one of the best park managers I’ve ever met. We had some truck trouble on our way and she was extremely accommodating with our reservations. Sina in the office was also very helpful and kind. What more can I say? All of our boxes got checked! Bravo ladies!!!!
