Upper six mile pond is so beautiful. Family friendly. A lot of trees and beautiful hiking trails for little kids and pets
We spent a couple nights here and it was beautiful. The best part of this campground is it's all first come first serve, no fees and tons of space. We seemingly had the entire mountain to ourselves. The dirt road is very well maintained and the campgrounds are also clean.
Looks beautiful but its a 40min drive in on a 4WD drive only track (okay near the start but has deep cuts where small streams run accross), I didn't make it there.
Very pretty. Just passed bye. Used the outhouse. Kids fishing from the bank seemed to be happy.
This is a great spot to spend an afternoon and if you’ve got a canoe, kayak or SUP it makes for a fun pond to float on as well. Fairly easy to catch the planted Rainbow Trout either fly fishing or with spin gear. The road is in decent condition and most high clearance vehicles can make it there either via 6 mile Canyon or 12 mile Canyon though road can be impassible when wet and certain snowy times of the year!
