The server in Katie's was RUDE. There is no other way to describe that wretch of a woman. The manager there insisted it was "just a misunderstanding," but it wasn't. She was just a miserable person that shouldn't be working with the public. Absolutely horrible thing to wake up to Christmas morning. The beds are comfortable and the room didn't smell like smoke despite the casino floor being open to the entire stairwell for the rooms. Truth is, my stepmom worked in Katie's for years and it's sad to see the way this place has gone under. 🤷‍♀️ Won't be returning. There's a nice spot just up the road in Minden that I spent the duration of my stay at. It's was clean, smoke free, but most of all FRIENDLY.
Cute little place to be, we stayed in the RV campground. They were quite narrow but the bathrooms and showers were great. Power went out several times while we were there for 3 days. The RV stay gave us access to the hotel pool and hot tubs which were great. Diner restaurant was awful. Staff all around were pleasant and helpful. The tables did not have a 3rd shift so closed early evening.
Rooms were very clean, beds were alright, not as comfy as we’d hoped. Quiet considering a casino us downstairs. However the room walls are thin enough to gear neighbors talking.
Best hotel for the price in the area.
We stayed 3 nights in a 40' pull through in the CVI RV Park over Thanksgiving. We were close to the CLEAN & warm bathrooms w easy access to the indoor heated (warmish) pool. 2 jacuzzi, nice & warm. Jets not working. HIGHLIGHT: decorations for Christmas were AMAZING! They were simply beautiful & unique. Not only indoors, but outdoors as well. Stunning!
We ate at Katey's several times. Food good, waiters worked hard, cheerful & helpful. We had a lovely experience!
It was a mean snow, if you know what I mean? Days 3 of white-outs. My gal pal, a previous resident and business owner in this part of Nevada.
The front desk clerk was just grand. She was very accommodating and easy to deal with, and very kind to both of us. The room!! Just perfect and a great bed!!
