We have gone 3300 miles so far. This is the best campground. Wild horses. A lake. Ranches. Cows. Carson City. Virginia City. Reno. Tremendous distance between sites. And this mammoth.
Always clean rangers very helpful, I would highly recommend going to camp there. Wild horses roam through the camping areas it's pretty awesome.
Peaceful campground, nice camp host, nice pull through spots. Each spot has a big picnic table with fire pit/grill water and electric, dump station on site, trails to lake, lake has toxic green algae so do t let your dogs play or drink the water. Lake has more than a few different types of fish. Beautiful day area near lake. Beautiful views.
A wonderful camp! Quiet, not crowded, and they had few vacant spots on a Saturday night. Its not a national park, but it’s $25 to book per night.
It’s fun to see the wild horses and the stables nearby. Also the sunsets are beautiful over Slide Mountain. It’s peaceful here. So many wonderful mountains and lakes and plants to explore and take a look at.
Toilets are pretty clean and flush! There are bathrooms with sink too.
