I live here. It's all concrete. No park just PRIVATE rv park. This location is wrong.
As of July 3, 2019, this Google link is INCORRECT and will lead you to a reservation for a different campground - with the same name but in Colorado, NOT in Nevada. I have sent feedback to Google.
arrived after dark to claim my confirmed tent spot on Loop A #007. THIS IS AN RV PARK i saw no area to pitch my tent. office closes Sat 4:30 pm-- map on glass shows no Loop #s. after 3 rounds of driving around with full headbeams on, i left.
This review is for North Canyon campground that is inside of Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park. This campground is hike/bike-in only, there is NO vehicle access. Parking is at Spooner Lake, $10 per day. Campground is first come, first served with no additional cost. Located about 2.7 miles up North Canyon Rd. from Spooner, there are 5 tent sites, each is provided with a picnic table, bear box, and fire ring. No potable water on site, there is a creek nearby that has good water (bring filter). Campground is also accessible via the Tahoe Rim Trail with a 1.2 mile side trip down a connector trail.
