The fact that they don’t accept rigs older than 13 years say a whole lot. Ours is 20 yrs old and you wouldn’t even know it. We were going to stay here and pay the ridiculous price because we have work in Tahoe. (We also have an RV membership that we use but it’s hard to get into that park in Tahoe during the summer. That’s the most ridiculous “policy” I’ve ever heard of. Do you, the owners, even own a rig that new? Do you know how expensive rigs are that are that new? You will lose a lot of business because of this “policy”. And deservedly so. Save the headache ppl and travel a few miles up the road. Where they actually do care.
Road noise is horrible. There was always sirens going off and people hot rodding around.
The spaces are small.
The pool and hot tub were clean and family friendly but need redone badly. It's like sand paper on your feet.
My biggest complaint is that they nickel and dime you for every little thing and charge the same rates as the way nicer rv resorts.
Anything over 4 heart beats is $75 per heart beat.
$25 for an extra car
Charged extra for water/sewer and garbage
The daily rate was $46 and our monthly rate was $920 +$50 deposit for electricity then another $60 electric bill. We stayed 5 1/2 weeks. Even though they advertise a way lower price with all their added fees we paid $1100 a month.
Very clean RV resort and dog park is good. Would have loved to have grass in spot or at least asphalt or cement pad. Also would be nice to have tables in rv spots. The people were very nice and accommodating. That said, we will definitely return for another visit!
The staff was great, welcoming and did their jobs well. I stayed here for around four months in 2019 as a full-time RVer. I was parked near the road and the noise was pretty loud most of the day and night. If you're a light sleeper, it will keep you up at night. Other than that, it was a typical RV park. The sites were tightly packed with a little room for a picknic table and such. Only enough room to park a single vehicle along with your RV/5th wheel.
Now with that said, I will just warn you that the owner of this park was a complete and utter a-hole. Unfortunately he worked the park for a week or so and in that time he completely destroyed my confidence in the park. He was pretentious and a liar with an ego the size of a Mac Truck. I decided to leave after a mishap with the sewer system where I payed his "boy", as he called him, $30 to clean up the little bit of TP that was on the ground. Unfortunately, he kept the money and his "boy" didn't get anything for the 10 mins or work he did on the gravel of the site. The maintenance guy is probably a live-on worker that the owner is taking advantage of and treating him like a man-servant. I wish I could have just paid the $30 bucks to the maintenance guy but the owner wouldn't allow it.
And the owner's wife isn't much better. She got mad when I simply wanted to see the rental contract to check on contracted deadlines for payments at the park. She would not show it to me. I will never stay here again.
Travel Nurse here. Sites are small. Enough room for rig and if you park really really tight - 2 trucks and not a whole lot of room for anything else.
It's not very quiet with the highways right there, so don't be fooled into any "quiet corners." Our space #64, wasn't very level, and from the looks of it, neither are a lot of the other sites.
The laundry facility is clean, and machines periodically will eat your quarters. Dryers are hot! So hot they'll singe your clothes, so watch out if you need to wash something expensive like scrubs.
We paid monthly. $1380 a month, to be exact. There's an extra $50 a month in that for an extra vehicle, and electricity is slapped into that charge. We were stupid to pay that amount, but the only pro to accepting it was a lot of the other parks in the general area (Reno) want you to jump through hoops to stay monthly (credit checks, credit requirements, NV residency etc).
Plus, they have a gate that shuts at night. And the park is out of the way, so no vagrants to really worry about. Other than the sense of security, I see no other benefit or amenity to justify paying that absurd amount of money.
Might as well rent an apartment and store the RV if your willing to take a few extra steps and maybe save a few bucks.
We've stayed at dozens of other parks throughout the country, and we're still blown away by how much we paid here.
