Our award-winning Alexandria, MN resort is located on the sandy north shore of Lake Villard, where we have offered fun-filled lakeside family vacations for over 100 years.
Pretty nice place. Terry is awesome. He is one of those guys who is in it for the hospitality of the people staying here. We stay in a house. House was clear and comfortable. Bring an extra pillow or two. We didn't ask for more, wasn't a big deal.
Gave 4 stars on location - just because note it is shared with a private camp ground. So beach is shared with campground folks too. With that said, we were they over labor day and at no point did it seem "crowded".
Me and 3 friends rented the 2 bedroom for a small ski trip. The place was clean and the kitchen stocked with everything you could need. Bonus, no better feeling then heated floors after a long cold day outside.
We stayed at the 3 bdrm cabin . The most impressive part is that the floors are heated so when you get off the bed in the morning you don’t get cold therapy to your feet. The room were clean . The place is spacey Lots of room for the kids . Plenty towels . Clean bathrooms.
Canary Beach Resort is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends. The cabin we stayed in was immaculate.

We just stayed at the Canary Beach Resort and it was an amazing stay. We stayed in the Robins View house and it was spotless and inviting upon our arrival. There were 3 bedrooms (4 beds)/2 spacious bathrooms. The house is situated in such a great spot with tons of windows so you can enjoy the beautiful lake view which was only made better by the fall leaves. The firewood bundles were very inexpensive and delivered right to our outdoor fire pit when we requested it. The beach chairs and swings were great quality and comfortable and there’s a big sandy beach. I can’t say enough good things about this place, it exceeded our expectations!
