Beautiful setting. Was quiet. Only 3 people in the whole campground. But rated 2 stars because half the campground does not have running water and the other half the water is not potable, but still expected to pay full priced despite the restricted water access.

This is a national forest campground about 20 minutes from Nevada City. It's near a busy highway, has few pit toilets and can get crowded and noisy. There's no nearby hiking - really just a stopover place or place where people come to party until late.

A gem in the forest! Nice quiet, clean campground in the, tall forest. 4 spaces are first-come-first-serve all the rest must be reserved online. Camp host on site. Discount with America the Beautiful pass or America the Beautiful Senior Pass.

Loved our weekend at this campground. Beautiful trees, site’s space was good. First night was fantastic- quite and peaceful. Second night had a group of 12 move into the spaces next to us and they were up until 1am. Normally I don’t mind folks enjoying their time, but several were very loud and obnoxious. Camp host did not seem to mind. Over great spot!! Bathroom kept clean, camp host came around several times during the day.

White Cloud campgrounds s the most beautiful place for camping in my opinion. I highly recommend that if you have never been there, go there. It's easily accessible and a very friendly place to have fun, meet new friends and be yourself.

I truly love white Cloud. Nevada City, CA. It's worth the wait.
