Located 68 miles north of Sacramento on Highway 70 to Highway 162. 9.5 miles east on Highway 162 to Loafer Creek, left into the park.
An amazing place to relax and enjoy a couple of days. Tent camping is about 25 a night. Great place for a family getaway. Rangers are very nice!
Great place to camp close to home. Lot of trees for shade. Some camp areas are small for 2 or more tents. Nice swim and picnic area with barbecue.
This campground is well maintained. Bathrooms are clean and campsites are well maintained. It was beautiful and peaceful. We loved watching the squirrels play.
There was a very friendly cat near site # 57. All he wants is attention. He's very lonely. He's fixed. I would have adopted him if it were possible. A very sweet cat. He's not ferrel. Someone must have left him or he's lost. Look for him ... he needs love. (He likes small dog food)
Go there.... Camp, wildlife, crystals, campfire, hiking, boating, just so much goodness!! My Cousin and I chose to go for our birthday this year!! Of course we brought the baby rescue squirrel to acclimate.
