We rolled into Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs, and right away we felt welcome. The staff were really friendly, and our RV spot was pretty nice. It had a good amount of space and was surrounded by trees, which was cool because we got some shade and a bit of sunshine too.

There was plenty to do - we went hiking and played volleyball, and the kids had a blast with all the activities they had lined up for them. It was a bit of a bummer that the lake was closed because of the drought, but the staff did a good job of making sure there were other things to do.

That being said, the place could use a bit of a spruce-up. The landscaping needs a bit of work and we had a couple of times when the power and water were iffy. But all in all, it wasn't a deal-breaker.

The location is great. It's peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle, but still close enough to a few restaurants and attractions if you want to go out for the day.

So, yeah, Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs is a pretty good spot for camping. There are a few things they could do better, but we had a good time. We're looking forward to seeing what improvements they make next time we visit.

My husband and I just love Thousand Trails Lake of the Springs campground in Oregon House, CA. The entrance is on an elevated position, and the camping spots are along the road leading down the hill to the lake at the bottom. This means you have camping areas on different elevations, so they tend to feel and look different from each other. They also have different amenities as well. The best cell is generally closer to the top, but D section has good service in many areas. Very family-friendly, playground equipment is available along with basketball, volleyball, and shuffleboard. Music and other activities on weekends, candy bar bingo, and more. Come join the fun!
