Nice older lady runs the place, there's a charming caboose that unfortunately isn't being used for the office anymore because of stupid paranoid New York covid rules. The campground is planted right on a river and the feeling here is quiet and peaceful....
We arrived on a warm night after a strong rain and saw a hundred or more fireflies blinking near the bridge!
The only thing I didn't like was the field sites, even the electric ones--the sites are completely open to sun and broiling hot by 10 am, so I'd recommend making sure you're in a shaded over site if its summertime.
Other than the shade problem, no complaints!!
Nice area and very nice people. But store wasn't always open when said it would be. And doesn't have a coin machine for arcade area. No where to wash clothes there.
Great camground run by very friendly people. Love that there was a dollar general close by. Best was the Stewards make your own sundaes.
Really nice campground. We had a wonderful time during our stay and everyone - especially the owner - was very friendly and welcoming. Great access to hiking and an easy drive to Albany. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
