We arrived at Camp Catskills and were greeted by Shirley. She explained everything they offered and even made some suggestions.The camp was very clean and the people were very friendly. This was our first time camping in a camper and we enjoyed it so much that we are considering purchasing one. We even extended our stay a few extra days. The only downside was the wifi not working inside the camper. We are looking forward to returning later this year and even considering making it a regular yearly trip.We noticed many changes and improvements going on around us and can't wait to see the improvements. We have already recommended the camp to friends and family .We really want to thank Shirley and her team for one of the most relaxing vacations getaway we ever had.
Very peaceful place. Shirley and Jerry were very friendly and took care of your needs. Pets allowed. There were a lot of dogs, however you wouldn’t know it until you see them. We even went to a drive in movie down the road. It’s been years since we have gone to a drive in movie. It was fun. Thank you Shirley and Jerry for a wonderful week.
Neither the RV GPS nor the Google GPS picked up on a very low bridge. The owner is very aware of it but chooses not to list the correct directions on his website or confirmation letter. His neighbor chewed us out because we had to unhook the car and turn around in front of his house to go back from where we came and go around to get to this camp. Camp owner is also aware of this. Evidently, thinks it is funny because he knew I was passed mad and joked that he was going to have to get me some moonshine to cheer me up. He charges extra per night if you don't stay 2 nights, but that doesn't show up until you are ready to pay online. Offered us free firewood...should had refunded the excess charge. Lots of standing water due to rain, needs to do some dirt/gravel work. ...would not recommend...
We held a small family reunion at Camp Catskills over the weekend with both my sister and cousin’s families bringing their own RV and my family renting one from the camp in between. I don’t know which I liked better: staff or facility. The staff was exceptional, both professional and warm and friendly. Our unit was spotless! Such a wonderful home away from home! The campgrounds were spacious and interesting to roam. In spite of the rain, we had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend it to anyone wishing to get together with loved ones.
