About Campground

Boulderdash is a charming, hidden gem located off the beaten path deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Situated on 5 acres, the sites are spaciously nestled amongst the natural beauty of The Texas Hill Country. Our guests say they love being a part of the natural habitat, feeding the deer, birds, and watching wildlife. As well as, how peaceful, quiet, and relaxing their visit is. Although not a large park, there is plenty to do. Located on the crystal clear Medina River, (river levels vary so please check the home page for updated Lake/River levels), there is a natural spring just a 1/2 mile upriver offering our area, spring-fed water for guests and fur babies to splash and play in. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy hiking the river banks and exploring the large boulders. Boulderdash has a camping option for everyone, we host 3 FHU RV sites, 3 shaded tent sites, and 3 lodging options, each unique and as individual as our campers are. Jenga & Cornhole games are also on the property along with a community lookout deck offering spectacular Hill Country views and starry night skies, as well as a table top fire pit and a community BBQ. Bandera is only a 10-mile drive known as 'The Cowboy Capital Of The World'. Check the home page for Local Events and tons of things to do.

Located only a few hours from Most major Texas cities, be assured, this will become your go-to place for much-needed R&R!

We so enjoyed our stay in this little campground. We stayed in site #2. Easy set up and good wifi. The deer came to visit in the mornings and evening. Very quiet and peaceful. Close enough to Bandera for eating out and sight seeing. The owners are very friendly. We enjoyed our visits with them and camp hostess. If in the area again, we would stay here again.

My husband and me stayed here 11/29-12/3 and what a hidden gem this place is. The owners, Lyn and Carol Ann, are super friendly folks. Our site was level and really nice. There’s lots of deer that show up every morning and late afternoon. The views are great as well.

Also, the Wi-Fi worked great! And Carol Ann has decorated the park really cute!

We stayed this past weekend at Boulderdash with our 22ft camper and had a wonderful time. The camphosts Kurt and Vicki were very nice, as were the owners Lyn and Carol-Anne. This is a great place to stay on the river! We look forward to coming back!

We stayed for a short weekend and everything was amazing. With the river being low at the moment it was nice to hike the riverbed. The set up was great. A nice secluded place with great views. I can’t say enough about the owners, Carole Ann and Lyn. They were very nice and happy to help with anything. This is one of our new favorite places to camp and can’t wait to go back again for a longer stay. We have a 45’ fifth wheel and I had no issues getting in or out.
