Absolutely amazing, Jim is great such a nice guy really keeps the place together, his team really accommodates you and makes you feel like a part of the family. Many different personalities and a wonderful place to relax and take time away. "Town" is close but dont expect to be doing anything but getting supplies. I will definitely be back this time with friends.
We stayed just one night but had an amazing time. The owner, Jim, was super friendly and made us feel at home.
The cabin tent was extremely cozy, with a mural painted inside which doubled as black out shades in the morning. The bed and blankets were super comfy, and we slept great.
The property itself is very cool, unique and artfully decorated. Bathrooms were extremely clean, and the breakfast in the morning was a treat.
Booked on a whim just for a place to crash after arriving late, discovered a gem and we will definitely be back!
It was amazing to happen upon this hostel. The bunkhouse was peaceful, comfortable, and warm. The grounds are beautiful and you're surrounded by art and pleasant vibes here. The owner is so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. I was in heaven here a d wish I could have stayed longer.
Never got to meet the owner Jim in person but was super fast at responding to text and calls which was perfect and his staff member Grumpy was really great and showed us around the campsite and got us checked in. The canvas tent we got was very large and warm with a nice bed and a cot with a mini fridge heater a fan and a few other things as well. Overall perfect setting for a get away with the family I honestly can't think of anything that would make this camp any better 10/10. Also the painting on the inside of the tent has so much detail and is really amazing.
Jim, grumpy, and lucky moon are a pleasure to be around. If you are a thru hiker, I recommend doing a work for stay. It gave me a new level of appreciation for all that hostel owners and staff do for the hiking community. My first stay with boots off was in 2020 and it was a great experience. I just finished a work for stay and it was also a great experience. The owner is a great guy and is invested in the hiking community
