From Idaho City, ID, take State Rt.21 north 1.7 miles to Granite Creek sign (Forest Rt. 327). Turn right at sign onto Rt. 327 (dirt/sand) and go 6.8 miles to a "Y" intersection. Bear left, staying on Rt. 327, and go 11.4 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.
This was a great campground but there was a rattle snake in the camp close to #1. I saw another review about rattle snakes and didn't really believe it since I have never seen a rattle snake in my camp before. Needless to say he won't be bothering anyone anymore but I'm sure there are more so you should watch your dogs and kids. The river is great and lots of shade. Fishing was good too.
You need to get here early to get a nice shady camping site, but all in all a nice campground for camping or day use. Close to the N. Fork Boise River.
Beautiful scenery, well kept up campground. Look forward to actually staying a few days here.
