This was my first time visiting the Adirondacks and we stayed at this campsite. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The view was absolutely amazing, we were so close to the waterfall that we could hear it (and it was a relaxing sound to sleep to), and it's close to many of the High Peaks trails. The staff was great and extremely friendly, and even delivered firewood up to our campsite for us. The only problem was that prior to our stay, we had called and e-mailed multiple times to inquire about what time check-in was, and never got a response. Other than that, I would recommend this campsite and would definitely return!
We started camping here when our girls were young, now they all make sure to take at least one week with us up here each summer. We try to camp here multiple times each year. The sites are spacious and the view of the falls is great. It's close to fantastic hiking for all levels, kayaking, biking all kinds of out door sports. The owners are friendly and helpful as are all the campers we have encounter here. They have a pool, a recently remodeled Rec room and laundry. The camp store has saved us a ride into town on more than one occasion. The bathrooms are clean and showers hot. A peaceful relaxing experience every time. Camping the way we like it.
Absolutely loved our stay! We had a campsite on the ridge over looking the mountains.... you can’t beat that view around a fire! Showers were $0.25 for 5 minutes. The campground is right across from a beautiful waterfall that i suggest visiting if you have some time. We took a very long, winding road here which was so much fun to drive on (rt 87 I believe- great for a motorcycle!). Overall, a great campground! I’ll definitely try to return.
We stayed at Blue Ride Falls for the first time last week. We are avid hikers and after leaving a concert wanted somewhere to stay that Wasn’t one of our typical ‘primitive’ campsites. I called the day before to see if there was any availability, and explain that we wouldn’t be in until 12:30-1am. They were more than okay with it, and very friendly. The campground is cute, the staff was accommodating and the bathhouses were cleaner than some hotels I’ve stayed in. If you’re hiking anything from the Dix range this campsite is right down the road, and I highly recommend staying there before or after your hike. The falls across the street were lovely, and we were able to get some trout fishing in. Thank you Tom and staff for your hospitality. I’m sure we will be back in the future 😁
