Mostly seasonal campground offering 4 lakeside transient sites.
I want to thank Ann Young for her post warning about how cramped the campground is. It caused me to check out the location myself today before I forked over hundreds of dollars. I didn't want a cramped location. When I got there, I saw that indeed, it was very cramped. The trailers and the cabins were on top of each other. Now, maybe that's okay for some people. There was a time when I might have wanted a location where I can meet and interacted with people. But for this trip, I wanted more seclusion. To the owner, I would say not to contradict somebody who posts something honest. If you want to have a congested campground, that's fine, but state that it is such so we know what we are getting. With such good reviews, obviously a lot of people are happy with it that way. But Ann Young's post expressed a legitimate concern that people should be aware of before committing so much money and time (You require a minimum of three days, so we are stuck if we don't like it.)
We just spent four days at Southern Adirondack Pines Campground and it was lovely. The lake is beautiful, the campground clean and peaceful and the owners are wonderful. They are friendly and very helpful. David saved our vacation by helping us with a broken door lock. Without his help we would have to crawl in and out via our cab. That was hard for an 88 year old man and an 81 year old woman. We are so very thankful. We will be back!!!
Just a beautiful place to stay.... children friendly. Brought my 3 year old grandson.. he had a blast!
We stayed at Leslie's Lakeview Memorial weekend this year. What a nice little retreat! It is a clean, spacious cabin that comes fully furnished. You do have to bring your own linens. There are quiet, friendly seasonal use neighbors. We loved the access to canoes, kayaks, paddleboats and life jackets all included with the rental.
We had a wonderful stay in one of the cabins. It's was cozy and had a rustic feel with all the modern amenities. Everything you would need for a comfortable experience is there! We loved being able to use the kayaks and paddleboats and spending the day by the lake. Dave and Cherie were amazing hosts and super accommodating. We absolutely cannot wait to come back! Definitely recommend!
