From I-39/I-90: Take Exit 163, follow roundabout into WI-59 E. Stay on WI-59 E for about 5 mi and then take a right onto Blackhawk Dr. Take a left at fork in the road and follow signs for Blackhawk RV Campground.
For tent camping it was okay. Seems like it is more suited more for trailers/mobile homes. Campsites were riddled with gravel paths for trailers to to parked on. Site signage is very confusing and water/power is not in great locations. for these sites. Security was very strict about quiet hours which I appreciate having young kids. Bathrooms were a mess for most the weekend. No toilet paper for two days and were pretty filthy.- garbage all over floor. We were there for the trick or treating activities and it was amazing. Residents really put on a great event and the kids loved it. Playground was really nice as well. Cabins looked really nice from what I saw. It was quite a party for all ages. We would for sure go back.
For someone staying at the campground that’s not a seasonal camper this place was just meh… Camp store was barely open and the activities for the kids were lacking. Most of the facilities were dirty and not well kept. We visited in late August so be prepared for yellow jackets. Overall this place could be way better if they put forth an effort to keep the place up. Positive note is that the some of the sites are rather big but you don’t know what you’ll get because they pick your spot.
Used to be a great place to camp. Not so much anymore. Bathrooms are disgusting. Roads are horrible for walking, huge pot holes. Management is the worst it's ever been. Cabins are disgusting and falling apart. Pool tile is falling off into the pool. Don't waste your money.
Dirty showers and bathrooms, campsites. No management on site and no one not even employee in office knows how to contact them. Left a total of 7 messages within a 5 day span, no call back. They are members of Good Sam Club however staff doesn't know so no discount as advertised. Left early, still no call back. No reason for your automatic response. It shows you don't care. What a shame!
They overall experience for this place was pretty good. We stayed in a very nice cabin that was right next to the pool, which was nice, but unfortunately, it wasn't really the cleanest inside, and the beds were awful ( I see what all the reviews were talking about for the beds). 3 lakes to pick from if you like fishing, swimming, or going out on a boat. Golf carts are pretty decent priced, and just about every campsite has one. They have cool events that go on every few hours if you want extra things to do.
