We ate at the restaurant inside the resort, it was sadly very disappointing. The burger was sub par and they were out of macaroni and cheese, the server didn’t give us any napkins. The building itself has a nice atmosphere, it looks like they sometimes do live music.
A great resort with very friendly staff in a beautiful location. Easy access to off-road trail system and ATV rentals. The Candy Suite rooms and cabin were perfect for our stay. We had an awesome time riding bikes and floating down the river on tubes. I highly recommend this resort.
I was at Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort recently for a women’s retreat. It was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back. The river rafting/tubing experience was so fun! The water was deliciously cool and clean and the scenery was breathtaking. My stay was in the ponderosa. The room was clean and cozy. The view of the mountain was right out my window. The food in the restaurant was top notch, with good seasoning and garnish. The ATV ride provided breathtaking views. It will be one of my to go to places!
We love big rock candy mountain! It's one of our close, but not too close to home, favorite locations for an evening out. The live band nights at the restaurant are a treasure in our memory. We love to bring our kids and connect to nature here for hikes, riding the bike trail, and the river rafting has been a blast! The colors are stunning. The owners are kind and so friendly. You can tell they have put their soul into bringing big rock candy mountain resort back to life. There is a lot of interesting local history here.
My wife and I visited on Veterans day 2023 and stayed in one of the train cars. We had passed by many times while traveling the back roads of Utah. The experience was amazing. We met the owners of the resort who treated us like family. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great and reasonably priced. We knew we were there off season and were there to explore for future family events. We will definitely be returning in the summer to take advantage of all the fun options there. We bought a SxS to bring back to explore some of the many miles or off road options.
