Be aware that there are 2 different campgrounds. The hook up sites are terrible. No trees, one exposed table on a gravel road. It’s $45 a night. There is another one near the entrance without hookups but huge RV PADS, raked tent sites and tables with lots of trees. $20 a night. Self select, no reservation required. This would’ve been so helpful for us to know.

I could not find my review on this place. We have gone to Bullfrog for years and have asked that they tear out old power and water and sewer and redo the campsites and put the plants that wahweap rv campsite has. It is a dump the NPS sites are nice but no power or water hookups they should just add power and water to the NPS rv sites and they would be good as wahweap get rid of the other supposedly full hook up rv website.

Bullfrog is an awesome campsite but be sure to go on weekdays. The weekend warrior families showed up in the hundreds on Friday night and the campsite became a hellscape of noise pollution and chaos. Kids racing eachother on bikes in the dark with no headlights down the narrow walkways, one almost ran over my dog, music blasting from other campsites, generators blaring, kids screaming and blowing whistles incessantly, people’s dogs off leash wandering into my campsite to steal food, babies crying in the distance at all hours, dirty diapers left on top of the recycling bin… quite a shift from the peaceful beauty of the site on a weekday.

We visited over Labor Day weekend. The weather was great. We had a few light rain showers in the evening, which helped keep the temperatures down at night, but it was perfect in the day time. We stayed in campsite A-7 in loop A, which backs up to a parking lot. If I were to do it again, I would pick one of the other loops. We thought it would be nice to be closer to the lake, but in reality you are already so far away (at least with the water where it is) that it doesn't matter. Furthermore, the other loops are closer to the road to get to the ramps. The lights in the boys bathroom were not working and apparently the camp management knows, they just aren't going to fix it? The facilities were nicer than we expected, because Bullfrog posts no information anywhere about their campsites. I feel like Aramark goes out of their way to make Bullfrog inaccessible. Unless you are staying in the hotel or the Aramark run campground there is no information. With Bullfrog being so remote, you would think they would provide enough information on their site that you didn't have to call every number listed, just to get simple answers. Like site availability, amenities available. Ramp information. Really anything. There is so much available for Wahweap Marina, but if you aren't staying at the hotel or a houseboat in bullfrog good luck. Overall we had a great time, no thanks to the management at Bullfrog.

The campsite was perfect and the marina was awesome. Affordable, as it was on a National Park Service area. It's in the middle of nowhere, which means the stars are so bright! The ravens will talk to you and may raid your stuff, but they were still cool to see!
