What a view! I want to come back here and camp overnight. One of the best views of Utah/Arizona I’ve seen. Just a few camp sites, along the southern edge of cedar mesa, overlooking gooseneck state park, valley of the gods, and monument valley area. Wow! Is probably the most common thing ever heard here
After we had scaled The Moki Dugway we took the dirt road to Muley Point East. Normally we have a Dodge Ram, this time, a low Mustang…and guess what, we made it! I’d not recommend it in this car but the views are spectacular! It’s one of those life affirming places where you feel lifted by the scale and awe of nature, humbled in the presence of her majesty. Will I be back, well, knowing how roads lead on to roads…..
An astounding view, worth the extra mile, plenty of space to camp or just take in the setting.
This campground was stunning. Road going up from the south was gravel and a little rocky, (Sedan could still make it up) but still sketchy at times. The sites were front row to monument valley. Only two other cars there camping 50 yards away. This was mid November. Leaving the campground (going towards Moab) the road was paved the entire time and very smooth. Keep an eye out for deer.
