We have been a few different times. The red cabin on the river is my favorite. It's absolutely amazing to fish off of the deck too. Always clean and smells fresh. We're going in a few weeks. As far as restaurants, there's a Dairy Queen not even a mile away. Hands down the best chili/slaw dog you will ever have. It sits right on the river, too. I can't say enough good things about this place. You won't be disappointed!

Very friendly staff. Good facilities and tent / RV sites are right on the water.

Easy access to the town of Hinton and the national park.

The Water Dawgs are helpful in getting out on the river. We did a duck boat ride and it was lots of fun.

The Mountain View cabins are top notch with a restroom, shower, full kitchen, nice deck with rocking swing, outdoor patio with picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit on the other side (we were in cabin 1).

The bar (Tigers) on the property is a cool local spot with good beer deals. Two pool tables and outside seating. It was not open during the weeknights when we were there. It was open Friday and Saturday.

I highly recommend this campground for anyone looking for an escape from the typical day to day. This is a very nice place to stay.

Tiger's Restaurant/Lounge has amazing food and great prices. Friendly fun atmosphere and very welcoming. Drove 2 1/2 hours to get here but it is well worth it! Kayaking, river tubing, guided fishing trips, rafting, campground for RVs, tents, and cabin rentals, amazing views of gorgeous all natural Sandstone Falls. Definitely recommend!

Showed up on a Friday to stay at Site 1 with a friend who had been there for a few days and had paid until Sunday. On Saturday 11, we were told by an employee that we’d have to move sites, despite our reservation, because they had booked it for another group. Despite telling them we had been promised the site from the owner themselves, they threatened to call the police. Forcing us to pack up everything, not to mention the fact that we were there with our 17 month old daughter. They also refused to refund my friend his money from being forced out a day early.

Our friend’s camper was blocked by a tent that people we didn’t know had put up on Site 2. We said we would not touch another person’s belongings as it is illegal, so the campground employee proceeded to move the entire tent from Site 2 without permission or warning to the owners.

Most unprofessional and corrupt business I’ve dealt with.

Greg Berry, the owner of this campground, is a spineless coward and a liar who not only disrespects his customers, but also bullies his employees. As inviting as the riverfront camp sites may seem, do yourself a favor and stay far away from any business Greg has to offer, to include his rafting company.

Just a short summary of my experience at the campground:

• Booked my reservation for a specific campsite weeks in advance.

• Showed up to camp and someone else was in the spot I reserved, forcing me into a campsite that was less desirable.

• Greg said that I could move the following day to my originally reserved campsite for the remainder of my stay.

• 2 days before vacation had ended, I was told by one of his employees that I needed to move once again, because the campsite I was in had been reserved.

• I refused to move, stating that the owner had already given permission to stay in the current campsite.

• I requested to speak with the owner multiple times, apparently, he was too afraid to own up to his word and speak with me directly.

• Instead, I was threatened with a call to the state police for trespassing on a campsite that I had permission to stay on and had already paid for.

• Their employee also moved other campers’ tents WITHOUT their permission, so if you like people pilfering through your belongings, I suppose this may be an enjoyable place for you to camp.

• I requested a refund for the remaining night I had booked, which was refused and I was forced to vacate the premises.

Stay far away from here, go camp somewhere nice where you don’t have to deal with the cancer of society that this entitled hillbilly is. Have a nice vacation somewhere else near Hinton.
