About Campground

We are a quiet, adult campground for ages 16 and older.

We are a small, rural campground where our guests find their recreation in shopping, sightseeing, or just waiting for the cows to come home.

This is a quiet place to relax, put your feet up and enjoy the views. We are located in the friendly farming village of Intercourse with great shopping and wholesome foods.

All of our RV sites are full hook ups. We also offer cabins and cottages for rent that are all dog friendly. We do not have tent sites. To make a reservation, please book online year round at www.beaconhillcamping.com or by calling us at 717-768-8775.

Beautiful location. In the heart of the Amish. Only noise is the clop clop clop of the Amish buggies and wagons ♥️

Beacon Hill was excellent campground to camp at. Has all the amenities. It was clean well kept with a little Amish town right down the street called Intercourse Village you’ll see the little Amish horse and buggies everywhere.

It's hard for me even to type this review. I love Beacon Hills, and my husband and I have been coming to this campsite for over 6 years, renting the same cabin. Even when the Amish owned it. My husband and I have always felt welcome. Well, today was something different. The new owners seemed nice and welcoming, but I was wrong. As usual, when checking out, I was going to make my next year's reservation. I explained to the gentlemen behind the counter that I was going to need to book on certain dates because I myself was a business owner, and the holiday next year fell during a time I would need to be open. Upon giving him my new dates for 2024, he said it was booked. I said well, we don't need to stay in the same cabin I could stay in another one. He said there all booked. Okay, what about the cottage? Because my brother and sister-in-law usually come up with us, and he said that's booked too. Okay, what about the following week? That booked too. Seriously!? He then proceeds to tell me that they have customers that return every year at the same time, and he knows that they are going to want those dates and cabins. WHAT!! I am a returning customer every year too. I come every July before your ownership and during. These campers you speak of have not reserved for 2024 or made a deposit. You are assuming they will want those dates. This isn't how you do business. I would never treat any of my customers, loyal or not, that way. AND I AM NOT A NEW CUSTOMER to Beacon Hills. So, I ask him, "is it because I am black?" There could be no other reason. This is the first time you are seeing me, and my name does not dictate my race. He then starts stuttering and telling me that his brother-in-law and nieces are black. Well, I hate to tell you, buddy, when you have to tell another black person you are friends or related to black people, you ARE A RACIST!!. This is just sad we are in 2023, not 1960, and as a veteran of the USAF, it hurts to know I risk my life for people like you. Please, know I will not be returning, nor will I be referring to you. When we come to Intercourse, PA, we will only stay at Amish-owned businesses. At least there, I will be treated like a human and my race wont matter. Sincerely, Hurt and Disappointed.

Such a beautiful, peaceful campground. We had a great weekend at Beacon Hill, with amazing weather and great company. The restrooms were so clean, it was refreshing to see. We had a few visitors (peacocks) come by our site, and it was so cool to see! The Amish sets up a stand for everyone to buy pastries and whatnot, on Saturdays. (Delicious!) If I could give Beacon Hill more stars, I would. I’ll be back next month! Highly recommend!
