Lake In Wood Camping Resort is “home to the gnomes” because it is a friendly place, built to suit the lifestyles of today’s campers (even the knee-high ones). From a weekend in your tent to a beautiful cabin rental, this resort becomes a treasured “Home Away from Home!”
The resort features a magnificent entertainment hall with a beautifully restored pipe organ for hosting grand parties and resort gatherings. Other pavilions are available for smaller groups (the Gnome Bridge Club are regulars). Adults can enjoy the picturesque views and intimate setting of the lake-view terrace.
We had a great time here. Rented a Park Model cabin and there was plenty of room for our family. The screened porch was a bonus for more space. The campground was clean. Fishing was good on the pond. The only drawback is that there's a quarry nearby and the noise is noticable in the background. Otherwise, a good place to go.
Always a good time coming here (7 years in row I think?) The grounds are very well kept up with kudos to the crew . It’s unfortunate that you are pushing transient campers out though. We come with a group every September and it’s great that there are still some sites available but very minimum . Wifi was absolutely terrible this time and with cell service also very poor that should be addressed .Especially if there is an emergency .
My main reason for leaving this review is to thank the activity director Michelle . She did a phenomenal job including all the kids in our large group making sure no one was left out . Between the hands on crafts during the day , and the band at night (which was great) . She kept the snacks coming and really made sure they ALL had the best time , which they did . She is an absolute asset to your crew and we all appreciated her ! Looking forward to next year!
I just booked our 4th time at the Sun Retreats Lancaster. I booked online but then needed to make changes. Melody helped me with those changes. She was great! Very friendly and patient with me. Every visit we are greated with friendly professional staff. The grounds are very well kept. We have been to other campsites but my 2 grandsons always ask to go to Lancaster.
That's for all you do to make our time enjoyable.
