I'm working in Mississippi and living in travel trailer. I've been to seven parks recently and my faith in my fellow man had all but left until I pulled into Bay Springs. Not only is it beautiful but the owner himself is about the most accomodating person I've met since I've been here in the south. He was in three different vehicles the first 20 minutes I was here. Side by side to help me get situated, then tractor to level the grade so trailer sat perfect, then lawn mower just to tighten up. He's good people and has a nice place. I had almost forgotten how fun camping was because of the managers at all these other parks are snobby, petty and prestigious for no reason. Everyone can't afford a thirty thousand dollar set up and they. Thank yalldamn sure shouldn't have to feel two inches tall becatrting use some manager casts judgement on people trying to enjoy the outdoors with their family. Somewhere along the line people lost track of what it is all about and made it about money and appearances. It's camping who gives a damn what year or how much they paid? It's about being out in nature and quality time with loved ones. Was the only place where Ive encountered integrity and someone going above and beyond for no other reason than he loves this land and wants others to have a good time
Great no frills country RV park. Owners are awesome and helpful. Road to the park is paved. Beautiful large pond. Spots are wide with plenty of room for slides. Central interior roads are dirt but we were there after heavy rains and didn't have problems. Sites are grass. Most do not have shade but a few do. Love the unexpected couple of palm trees on the property. They have hilltop sites, sites that back up to a hill and a few that back up to trees. Full hookups. Piggly Wiggly grocery store is 1 mile down on the same road. If you want a nice, out of the way quiet country setting and don't need useless frills or screaming kids running around, this is the place.
10 out of 10 would recommend staying here! Scott and Ivan were extremely pleasant. When we got there our automatic tongue jack went out, and the manual way wasn’t working either. Scott came to our rescue without any hesitation. Our truck was stuck to our camper and we were seriously out of luck if he didn’t help us he was a life saver!! Even stood there and chatted with us a bit and went way further and offered a helping hand in fixing or replacing our tongue jack!! Prices were extremely affordable. Nice and quiet too!
This was a perfect spot for us to visit a piece of Mississippi. With a great location to Laurel. We were able to visit Laurel Mercantile Company.(If you are a Home Town fan)
Scott was very accommodating! As we asked to come in a day early and leave a day late.
Our campsite was backed up to the beautiful pond, very peaceful and serene for our morning coffee.
We would definitely go back.
From the moment we spoke to Scott in regards to a vacant spot, this RV park management was phenomenal. They were able to accommodate our company Cypress Mitigation and Restoration’s needs to stay comfortably as we marketed and also enjoyed some time hunting. This park is gravel but very spacious and reasonable rates for anyone to enjoy. Of course pet friendly.
