I have had the pleasure of staying at Bay Palms for quite a while. The staff have been remarkable for anything that we needed and are very accommodating. You are very close to one of the best beaches in the Mobile, AL area and very close to town for anything you might need.

At one time, this was a good place to stay until the new owners/managers took it over. As soon as they took over the rates increased without any improvements like they said they were going to do to make up for the increase. Only improvement was the free wifi they finally fixed after years that now cost $40 dollars a month. If you like to fish you better find somewhere else to stay since you can't have your boat there except in the flood zone which literally gets over a foot deep in the back of the RV park without any power for $60 more dollars. Cable tv is a rumor there I've never seen it work. When i checked in November of 2023 they only had one vacant spot for me to get and this November 2024 i rode the park and counted 96 vacant spots so that should give you an idea how the new owners/managers are running the place. They got their last dollar from me. The new manager should get an award from the parks down the road for employee of the month because she is keeping them full. She is very rude and unprofessional.

Improvements in staff and facilities have been made and more is yet to come. It has great staff who are friendly and accommodating. New owners have amazing plans for overall upgrades and amenities. Pool is now heated. Internet and electricity are extra, yet are more affordable than where we live up north. The bay is just across the road, where lounge chairs await you. Events are scheduled on a regular basis. Location is ideal. It feels more like home to me than my home in Illinois.

We started our stay here 3 months ago and are very pleased with our experience! My husband loves the gym, our dog is obsessed with the dog park and I love that there is a pool. Our rented space is very accommodating and it is extremely peaceful here. We hope to stay here for a while to come. Management has been very helpful as we are new rv owners and are always available when we have questions. Overall we love it here and hope to enjoy more and more as we get settled.

Good value; recommended. I've read a couple of negative reviews on Bay Palms and after staying here for 4 nights, I have to disagree with most of the negativity. In my experience, I have found this place to be clean (big dog park, walking around, laundry room, gym and community room), friendly (great super bowl party) and a good value for the price. I haven't used the shower/bathrooms or the pool (still not heated). The folks in the office seem to be friendly and responsive to requests/changes. This place is a 10 minute drive south to all that Dauphin Island has to offer and 30 minutes to downtown Mobile. The guests here are good folks, no trashy sites, not too much road noise, no constantly barking aggressive dogs, etc. Like I said, this isn't the Ritz: the community hall isn't pristine, there's not exquisite gardens on-site, you have to pay for your wifi, but for the price this is a good deal.
