Great Afternoon Walk-1.9 mile well maintained mulch covered trail that hugs lake all but last .25 miles. Not crowded with walkers or runners at 5pm. Dog and kid friendly.

I was searching for a close local waterway to stand up paddle board near Holly Springs. I asked the attendant at the shop about the SUP being used in the water and was told that they cannot be used and only the watercraft they rent out can be used on the lake because they are trying to preserve the ecosystem. If that ain’t blowing smoke, i’m not sure what is. I purchased these boards for ease of transport and I liked the idea of not contributing to the pollution of fuel or oil. You can rent our boat with a motor but not drop a paddle board. Seriously, I won’t even entertain this place and that way of thinking just angers me to use that excuse. What is that shop doing for the environment besides water bottles and props.

This trail around the lake is one of my favorite in the area. It's 2.25 miles, has lots of shade, and is dirt so is soft on your feet.

Went to check it out! Walked the lake- love the shadiness of the trail. The guy at the boat rental was so informative and helpful! Will be back with the teenagers to do some canoe and fishing!

Daughter's wedding Nov 2019 - GORGEOUS venue! Christine and staff are so warm and helpful. Conference Room has french doors over-looking the lake, with deck all around, and stunning gazebo. Photographer's dream come true...

For parties there are some restrictions: No open flame or glass on the deck, Beer and wine only and off-duty Holly Springs Police officer needs to be hired and present from the moment alcohol arrives on site. He stayed inconspicuous and was very nice. Tables and chairs (inside) provided by facility with only modest set up fee. Kitchen area available too. Audio Visual equipment also available and affordable. Everything was great.

Highly recommend (but can get really chilly in November).
