Bama Bison Co is a veteran owned small farm located in Crawford, AL. The bison herd is 100% pasture raised and 95% of their lifetime diet is grass and natural forage. Bama Bison uses a regenerative approach to farming and all animals are raised in an environment that encourages natural behaviors and low stress. The farm offers bison meat and other seasonally available farm products for sale to the public, camping for RVs and tents, venues for special events, and lodging through airbnb.
Bama Bison’s new campground offers campers a beautiful countryside environment that is perfect for unwinding, connecting with nature, and relaxing with family and friends. Back-in sites with full hookups are nestled under the shade of mature pines, and each site is positioned so that guests may enjoy their scenic surroundings. A separate dry camping area is available as well for short stays.
Site Amenities:
- Full hookups -water, sewer, and electric for both 50amp and 30amp campers ($40/night or $240/week)
- Dry camping area- $10/night

- Picinic tables
Recreation / Things to Do:
- Pond – fishing and swimming allowed. No diving or jumping into the water.
- Walking Trails
- Bison Herd Farm Tour – ride out into the pasture to learn about and view the bison up close
- $10/atv ride or $40/tractor pulled hay wagon
- Farm Products available for purchase: bison meat, chicken eggs (free ranging pasture birds), and seasonally available produce

From the 5 way intersection continue west on Huguley Road approximately 1/4 mile until you see the sign for Bama Bison Campground. Tall rigs must use the second entrance, which is open top. The first entrance is low clearance.
This place is well structured to let the public see how a bison farm works. Id live to come back when they weigh the animals. Very cool to see a 6hr old calf.
I do not often post reviews, however my interaction with Bison Bluff Farms. Was one you do not have very often. I emailed them in regards of visiting the farm and buying some of the product because my wife and I like supporting local farms. They were quick (45min-1hour) to respond then proceeded to go above and beyond with the costumer service. I look forward to buying their product. Keep up the good work.
We have bought the sticks-summer sausage and patties- They all have been excellent! Love the flavors snd spices in the sausage! Definitely recommend!
I have bought several different cuts of me over the last year from bison Bluff Farms when they are at the Carbondale Farmers Market. The meat is delicious and of great quality. Additionally, the several people that work the Market each week are so customer oriented and polite. Definitely recommend.
