We moved from Nebraska to Alabama and needed a place to stay while we found and closed on a house. Higgins Ferry did not disappoint!! It was a perfect home away from home for a couple of months. Very accommodating and beautifully maintained. You are sure to enjoy your time here whether it’s a short or long stay. Donald and Kathy are the best and I feel we have made new friends!! We called and reserved for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We weren't able to go on Friday so we called on Tuesday and changed it to Saturday, Sunday Monday and Tuesday. The man said that would be fine. We packed up and was about to leave home when we called to see what time we could come and the man said they had given it away to someone else. Then rudely told us we should have shown up when we were supposed to and that wouldn't have happened. After he told us Saturday would be fine. That's poor management for him to blame us for changing it. When it was their fault for not writing it down.
