The public restroom was NOT clean. No toilet paper, nor hot water in the public shower house. The trash cans are filled and no one has checked them in over 24 hours. It is quiet, but the maintenance such as refuse pick up and mowing is quite poor.

The location is pretty otherwise and the water is clean.

Probably will not return to camp.

Unfortunate. This campground was once fantastic. It's in a state of disrepair. Apparently, there are plans to rebuild the park. The trailers are garbage. Beds creepy, old and stained. Toilet was broken when we arrived. No washer. Dryer broken. Trash was full. All the pontoon boats are broken. Don't vacation here until the park is renovated. Waste of time and money in it's current state.

Staff is great and really care to make sure visitors are taken care of when they visit. Boat rentals and MWR equipment is great. The lodging needs an update but overall it’s a good place to call home base when trying to get out on the lake. We had a blast and both Michael and Amber really went above and beyond to take care of our family and also they were able to get us on the lake on a boat due to a late notice cancellation. I highly recommend visiting.

Currently this site is working as “cash only”. Suggest getting Square or similar credit card capability to the location.

Very disappointed for an Air Force run mwr. This area looks very rundown and non-maintained. It looks like there’s not been any money put into this place for upkeep in a very long time. The on-site cabins look very rundown, the trailers that are listed on the map for rental are very rundown looking and aged. The RV sites that are listed that are not full hook up I could not find any evidence of where they were actually at. The five or six RV full hook up sites that they have have not been maintained in a long time there’s been no gravel lay down for the sites. And the sites need to be leveled off of square it off it feels like if you go to far left or right, that you can fall down the hill with your rig. Site 53 sewer hook up is sideways indicating when I dump that I may lose some on the ground.

It’s a real shame that this place is run down, with a little bit of money from the Air Force MWR. This place could really look nice with some upkeep paint, gravel, leveling, etc. the lake is beautiful but the site in facilities are run down here at Lake Martin. For the record I stayed here enroute to Florida for two days with my Class A on site 53. I will be cancelling my reservations here for on the way back home. I would add photos but not worth the time. I will leave it to the imagination.

So much potential and yet MWR apparently is doing very little. The staff on site are NOT getting maintenance done, they seem to be in vehicles or the office a lot. The site we were at had a bad 30 amp breaker which we notified staff about, we were there 3 nights and it still wasn’t repaired. The dump station closest to the office was plugged up, again no repair prior to us leaving. The furthest dump station had a serious water leak which did get fixed, the dump port though, to high and holes at the base of the tube going into the ground so sewage would come out. Restrooms inoperable, one of the staff let us into a trailer because laundry isn’t working. It’s a beautiful place, it just needs maintenance. I haven’t heard back but did e-mail the Maxwell base commander Col. Richardson. See photographs.
