CLOSED CLOSED CLOSED

I’m sure it would have been great !

Out of respect for the natives land, we turned around after being greeted, by a native, on the land.

We were unaware this was closed- better research next time!

...well worth the drive. Just east of Flagstaff. Good road most of the way. Last few miles are rough on cars. Definitely take an SUV or truck. The falls are from the melting snow so best viewed in March thru May. Also known as Chocolate Falls because the water is silty and looks like Chocolate. Easy to find by GPS.

Photos of the falls look great, but we were unable to check them out. Nothing about the closure is posted via signage until you get all the way in.

This is a trail that you will need to drive in on a dirt road. Some parts are very rough. Also, not recommended to go here during Monsoon season. You will not get cell phone service here. Not many people go in here. The view is beautiful. The waterfalls has a muddy color. I have seen people hiked down to the bottom but I was too scared to get down there.
