Camp host is amazing. Cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen or used. Sites were clean and campground was quiet.

This campground is perfect if you don't need all the frills. There's no power but there is a well water pump to top off your jugs. The host was friendly. We reserved a riverside spot but host told us there's nearly always open sites for people just needing a place to crash. We have a pickup with a cap that we sleep in so all the sites fit. We did see a family opt for another site because their 20ish ft travel trailer was a little too much for the waterfront site.

The upper sites are a bit close together in my opinion but not terrible.

Fire rings and tables at every site. A couple clean nat'l/state park style bathrooms with "hole in the ground" toilets. No showers.

The river is beautiful... still partially frozen when we were there.

Lots of moose poop but didn't see any moose. Host said in his years working there, he'd never seen a bear... probably means people have been pretty good about keeping food stowed and trash picked up.

No dumpsters or garbage cans so be prepared to pack out what you pack in.

My first time here, I brought my 2 sons, and it was a great place, clean, close to the river, and trails. Recommend this location, reserve in advance, $30/night, or stop by. There's about 20 campsites, clean restroom, dog friendly, bike friendly.

Our favorite Mountain and camp site.

The camp host has done a excellent job of keeping this recreational site in great condition. All of the camping spots are well groomed and the bathrooms are clean.
