It was trashed, so we cleaned up and packed the trash out. Other than that, beautiful views! Super beautiful spot

Hike/run from Memorial Park in Manitou up Barr trail to aframe took 3hrs 19 minutes. Tough hike totalling 10 miles one way. Nice scenery along the first few miles of Barr trail. Then traverse into the mountain in the trees for several miles. At mile 7.5 is Barr camp. Stop for bathroom/snack. Another 2.5 miles to Aframe ( steeper grade). The views from Aframe are beautiful and wish I could have stayed there all day!

A-Frame shelter located just below treeline on the Barr Trail to Pikes Peak. First-come first-serve with a couple of tent spots in the field next to the A-Frame. Hard to get to and nothing more than 3 walls and a wooden floor, but the views of the city are amazing.

Amazing view from just below the treeline. This is a well built structure with the best views coming out of the trees up Barr Camp Trail. Im sure it’s been a life saver many times.
