We stayed at The Sunrise camping spot, and we got all the morning sun😀which was excellent for waking up earlier from the morning sun, and it gets noon and afternoon shade if you camping with a tent. Our host Robin was great! This location has clean toilets and simple showers with hot water(on demand heater). Super pet friendly property! Great location if you are visiting Mesa Verde! Nights are very, very quiet, unless derby or rodeo is going on. And vies of night sky is amazing! 10 stars!
We've stayed in the Hogan at Bright Star a few times, and will keep coming back! While rustic, the campground covers all our needs. The hosts are super helpful and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere is extremely quiet and relaxing. Amazing views in all directions, with spectacular sunsets and stargazing.
This was such a good place to stay! First of all, manager John really saved the day when we needed to borrow a tent. He was very kind and helpful and made sure our trip continued without a hitch. The amenities are clean and convenient and we really enjoyed the shared kitchen! Perfect if you don’t want to bring kitchen supplies because it is very well stocked! Highly recommend!
Located close to Mesa Verde National Park this camp shouldn’t be skipped! We stayed here for the Ring of Fire annular solar eclipse and we are so happy we did! The camp manager and host were amazing. They were so helpful, kind and answered all my questions before going. The shared kitchen area had fridges you could use, all the pots, pans and utensils, coffee pots, a grill and more. We had an amazing time and they even had a solar eclipse party that night with a live band. Would definitely recommend and go back if we’re in the area.
