Take US HWY 160 west from Pagosa Springs for about 17 miles, then turn south onto CO HWY 151 for about 18 miles to Arboles. Turn left again onto County Road 982 and drive 2 miles to the park. From New Mexico Driving north on US HWY 550, cross the Colorado State Line and drive about 4 miles while watching for the "Ignacio" sign on the right at County Road 310 (not marked). Turn right onto 310, which eventually turns into 318 and go about 15 miles to the end of the road. Turn left onto CO HWY 172 for one mile. Turn right onto CO HWY 151. Drive about 17 miles to County Road 982. Turn right and go 2 miles to the park.
Lots of room. Easy space to pull into. Wish there were more trees.
Very nice but I don't understand why it's so rare to have water hookups at the campsite in Colorado.
The first few sites next to the camp host are right next to a swampy area. We suffered hours of clouds of mosquitoes every evening. But the showers were good the laundry and bathrooms were clean.
Not giving 5 stars for only 1 reason, the bathroom and showers were in need of cleaning all three days I was there. Was rather deserted which was nice. Lots of skunks raiding my campsite at night which kept my dog on his toes. I will visit again. Very nice park staff!
Wasps, mosquito swarms, and no shade. The lady at check-in was really nice tho
