Welcome to our historic 17-acre base camp with RV sites, apartments, rustic cabins and a penthouse condo in the center of town; we're family and pet friendly! We have a stocked trout pond and the Red River flows through the campground. We're an easy mile from the center of town. Come stay with us and enjoy all that Red River has to offer! Red River is at 8,661 feet with summers days in the 70°s and evenings in the 50°s. Perfect camping weather! We are a ski resort during the winter and we have winterized RV sites (heated water) for your year round camping pleasure. RV winter rates are $45/night. Summer rates vary depending on the site chosen. We have a "Buddy Site" section for families or groups (Sites 46-57) that is between the Red River and the trout pond. We loved the size of the place! Four bedrooms were perfect for our family!! Nice and clean! Loved being right in the middle of town!
We had a family trip with 9 families and 9 sites reserved. Paid for the weekend of the September 15-19. During the last day of packing up we had a very bad experience with a guy on a golf cart and his dog. Everyone was enjoying the trip up until this guy decided to ruin the trip for all of us. As everyone was packing up this guy decided to show up with his chest puffed up, approached us and started barking orders to leave the property within 5 minutes or we were going to be charged for another day. We told him to be nice and that we were Going to leave soon. Also told him that if he wanted to charge us for another day that was fine with us. All we asked of him was to be nice and not ruin everyone’s trip. As far as we are concerned my family will not be going back there. Check out was 11 and it was 10:55 when we were pretty much packed but had a little more to do when this took place.
Great location, clean well maintained camp sites. Super friendly staff. Wi-fi didn't work for us but it wasn't that important for our stay, I was able to hot spot my phone for what I needed. Nice bathrooms with showers if you prefer to not use your RV. Would definitely stay here again!
