About Campground

DRY CAMPING ONLY. Bring RV or your own portable toilet system!

Blue Heron Farm is a beautiful property in rural Middle Tennessee. Located 10 miles south of charming Leiper's Fork, the land includes a spring-fed creek and and plenty of wildlife and has been designated a certified wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. Backing up to hundreds of acres of woods, deer and other critters abound, and we see the farm's namesake, the blue heron, at least once a week. Everyone who visits says, "It's heaven!"

The available site is for dry camping only at this time. Please do not try to book if you do not have an RV or a portable toilet setup, as we do not have toilet facilities at this time and going in the woods is not permitted. You will need to pack out your toilet waste.

The site is located away from the house. Although it is just off the road, once you back in, you will be private and safe, with a lockable gate and fencing. A babbling, rock-bottomed brook runs through the campsite and the entire area is shady and wooded. Water is available via the creek (but it is not considered potable). There is a fire ring with a grill, a trash can, and a picnic table for your convenience. Firewood is provided and potable water is available at the house. You will be the only campers on the property.

This site requires that you back through a 16 foot gate and then straight back 20-30 feet to the designated parking place. There is gravel under the soil and the designated parking area is close to, but not perfectly, level. If you feel you cannot back up your RV with confidence, this may not be the right site for you.

Once you are here, visit the horses, hike in the woods, splash in the creek, or just chill at your shady campsite. Nearby attractions include the charming town of Leiper's Fork, the iconic Natchez Trace (complete with hiking trails), paddling on the Duck River, and historic Franklin. Or you can visit the ever-popular Loveless Cafe, which is 30 minute scenic drive away. We look forward to welcoming you to beautiful Blue Heron Farm!
