Escape to the great outdoors and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Buffalo River at "The Buffalo River Outpost." Nestled on the eastern bank of the river, this secluded campsite offers breathtaking views and a true sense of seclusion. Surrounded by a natural cliff wall to the west, dense woods to the south, and a historic hand-constructed wall to the east, built by slaves directly on the river's edge, this campsite offers the perfect blend of privacy and serenity.
Experience the thrill of kayaking or canoeing from your private launch area, located just steps away from the campsite. Take a leisurely paddle down the river and soak in the stunning scenery. If you're feeling competitive, challenge your friends and family to a game of basketball on the private court and pavilion, also located just across from the launch area.
When you're ready for a change of pace, take a short drive to the nearby town of Linden, Tennessee and explore the historic Commodore Hotel or visit Mousetail Landing State Park, where you'll find a swim beach, hiking trails, and ample opportunity for larger watercraft.
