From jct SR 149 & CR 30: Go 1/2 mi S on SR 149.
We were there in September and was our first time. Our RV was close to the creek. We had the best time. The hosts and people we met were so kind and helpful. Hope to get back next year. Thanks for the memories. This is actually Lake City Colorado. We stayed at Woodlake Park. Just wanted to clarify.
We love to visit Woodlake Park every summer! It is tucked away from the town which makes it so quite and peaceful. It has plenty of room in between campers to make it feel more private. The river runs through the camp and it is beautiful! Sometimes you may even see a deer walking through! The bathrooms are always clean and smell good. They have ice on site which makes it super convenient for your cooler and you don't have to drive into town. You can't ride any UTV from the park to town but their are plenty of spots you can unload at if you wanted to go ride trails. The park host treat you like family and always available to help. During the week, they have potluck night and a wenny roast and they are so FUN! So many campers come out and great to mingle with. Thank you John, Cathy, Sheri, Jerry, Rusty for always providing us a great time and being so helpful.
As a motorcycle tent camper, I avoid RV parks. However, this is not your typical RV park.... it reminds me of National Park campgrounds. Eh, honestly likely better than most NPS Park campgrounds I've stayed at. Quieter, less people, more trees, more room.
Clean bathrooms and showers. The whole property is spotless.
They only have 2 tent sites. But wow - what an amazing tent site.
I'm a dispersed, backcountry camping snob - and this place is simply amazing.
Strongly recommended!
