We chose this campground because it has atv access to the Black River Falls ATV Trail System. The main park is very nice and easy to navigate. The folks that work there are extremely helpful, easy to work with and very accommodating. Park facilities were clean and well kept up. Unfortunately for us we stayed in the ATV Sites during the heaviest rain event of the year (Yellow River was 4 feet above flood stage) and our site was completely flooded. We were able to move to a different site that was a little drier but most of the sites in the atv area had some amount of standing water. All the park personal that we spoke with said that drainage for the ATV Sites is a known issue and weren't surprised that it flooded. We were told that we could move to the Main Site Area (which was dry) but our utv would need to stay in designated parking area. We totally understood, but we preferred to have our machine close by. We would definitely stay there again but only after watching the rain forecast. FYI, if you're going to stay here to atv, bring gas cans. There's no place close to fuel up.

We've been camping at this beautiful park for over 40 years! It's only 30 miles from home, but it's so pretty. The fishing is good earlier in the year than it is now, but Walleye and Northern fishing should pick up in the next several weeks. Campsites are large, shower facilities are clean, free, and top notch. Firewood and ice is available. 50 amp, 30 amp hookups. There are a few full hookups.

Site 95, amazing in nice weather, but watch for bad weather as the whole site is on low ground and water funnels through. Beautiful shade and close to water and pit toilets.

Nice size camping sites! Nice wooded area with plenty of room to enjoy the lake, trails, and more. My dogs did great there. They saw other plenty of dogs, and they were leashed. The trails are nice for any age, fairly wide, and well labeled with smaps every so often you let you know where you are. I highly recommend it, and I plan on going back.
