Located on the Red Cedar River, 3 miles north of Sand Creek, Wisconsin on County Rd I or 9 miles south of Chetek on County Rd I. Or 35 miles north of Eau Claire 53N to 64W, 70 miles from Stillwater on 64E or 126 miles south of Superior 53S to 64W.
I went to visit a friend who was camping there over the holiday weekend. But we have been using this part as a starting point for tubing for almost 20 years. It's a beautiful River to tube on! And the campground is really nice this was my first time actually in the campgrounds.
Liked seeing the old farm equipment but light in that area would be awesome
Nice county Park right on the Red Cedar River which is mostly shallow-perfect for tube floats and canoeing. Water and electric sites, grassy, shady, pines and hardwood trees. Inexpensive. The campground hosts are very nice people to chat with.
Love this place! It is a quaint rural park with no frills but great hosts and views. The river is a plus. Still exploring but we are very pleased.
