A perfect place to stop and appreciate the fall colors. Nice for a little hike and picnic. The main bridge is surprisingly steep but worth the climb. Also the road leading to this park is incredibly beautiful. We are looking forward to going back soon.

A long and winding road through the forest will bring you to McClintock Park in Athelstane, along the Peshtigo river. The trails are well groomed, but do have some roots to avoid, There are a series of bridges that connect small islands with picnic tables and grills. Not really any waterfalls, but a very nice park overall.

This place is amazing! Lots of river banks to cover. Everything is very well maintained as far as I could see. Picturesque scenery everywhere you look. It was $5 to play for the whole day. The kids had a blast in the Peshtigo river swimming and wading all through out. Never were we hastled for any reason. The population was very low on the day we went. There are plenty of actual picnic areas that you can cook at. Or do what we do and pop up some hammocks and listen to the river babble away....

Beautiful park with plenty of places to sit in the shade and just look at the river. Hiking trails throughout and several little bridges. Beautiful area to explore in autumn.
