NFS campground ideal for setting up camp enjoying the surrounding area. Ample opportunity for hiking, Mt bike riding, road and gravel riding. Actually there is off road trail the Nicolet Roche you can pickup out of boat landing. Showers are available, some electric hookups. Wolf River Cafe up the road and Sammiches for barbecue in nearby White Lake.
This is an excellent place to camp. Pretty quiet this last week but as the temps warm up it will get very busy with the 90 sites. Quiet this week with showers and cool temperatures, the trees are showing color and the acorns are dropping making it loud in the woods. Camp hosts at the entrance and back by the second shower building are here yet . 1 camp host is leaving this week and the other is here until the closure on the 10th.
Always love to get into the woods for an end of the year vacation. The host was very friendly and helpful. Clean bathrooms and a beautiful setting close to town. Enjoy the outdoors !!
I was at the beach ⛱️ with my service 🐕🦺 dog, looking forward to a nice day.
But got shouted at a woman, who said she was the Camp Host 😔.
She embarrassed me, Infront of everyone on the beach 🏖️
Telling me that my dog was not 🚫 aloud on the beach, on the Sand.
Because dogs pee and poop.
#1 Shouting, She could have come over and talked to me!
#2 While I was there a kayak boat came in the swimming area, not 🚫 aloud! She was to busy sitting at a table talking. When the kayak was by the swimmers! 🚫
#3 Unreal that she allowed large group of people, had( a park picnic table)
Pulled sitting,(in the water) by the beach 🏖️. Full of food and drinks.
#4 My service dog 🐕🦺 is trained, and is 🚫 not a 😺.
I left the beach ⛱️ , feeling 😔 discussed about it all.
I go to the beach 🏖️ because it is a Beautiful place to be! Sandy Beach and Beautiful ❤️ place!
The park is very popular for camping, with sites on the water.
😊
Easily one of the best campgrounds I’ve ever been to. Lake looks very nice, but we didn’t have time to check it out. There are almost 100 sites, and they seem to all be unique and excellent with great flat pads for tents. We stayed way back in the # 70s loop, and had the whole thing to ourselves, even though it was a summer weekend. Also love the reasonable rates ($18/night for tent camping at time of this review). This is a hidden gem, that I can’t recommend enough.
