Located 10 miles northwest of Merrill along the Wisconsin River on scenic State Highway 107.
Loved it here, hidden gem, let's keep it that way, clean up as you go people.
Very nice park. Looks like it's well maintained. Beautiful views of the river and the fall colors.
Beautiful night sky from the water's edge by the southern parking lot. This would be a great "dark sky" area to see the northern lights if they were active.
This is a very nice park with non-electric shelters, restrooms, grills, a playground, great water views, and more gophers than I've ever seen anywhere else, lol. There is plenty of parking here, and a place to put in boats (and/or pick up people tubing down the river from Grandfather Falls).
Very peaceful with lots of birdsongs and critters scurrying around. The bugs were not bad at all here. We did see an active hornet nest in the shelter closer to the water, but they paid us no attention.
Well worth visiting, this is a great place for many types of events!
There was a massive amount of firework debris, so we spent the first hour cleaning it up before heading onto the Ice Age Trail segment that connects here.
I have no idea if there are any Pokestops or gyms, as we had no signal whatsoever, but I'd have to imagine there are some here. This would be an ideal place to play (just mind the gopher holes, lol).
Decent little spot with a great view of the river and on the Ice Age trail with Merril school forest across the street with plenty of hiking trails.
