Pioneer Park offers an equestrian-friendly rustic campground in an open area large enough for seven camping units (tents, trailers & RVs) no fee required; no reservations.
Located on Hwy 13 and Hwy 86 intersection go east into Ogema on Hwy 86 then continue straight onto Holmes Street. The campground is at the edge of town.
This was an adorable park in the town of Ogema, WI. It had multi stall flush toilets, running water, fire pits, grills, picnic tables, horse shoe pitches, playground, baseball field, and a gazebo with a table under it. There was the obvious presence of mosquitoes as one would expect near a stagnant pond. The town had a gas station that closes at 9 right down the road that sold charcoal and lighter fluid, but did not have firewood. Quiet town, and a pretty, well maintained park.
A nice, small, well-kept community park in a small town. There were probably half a dozen sites. Most on the water. The loudest noise in the evening was geese. 8^) No hookups, but it was a nice place to stay over night.
We stayed for 3 nights. Very quiet except for the noisy geese who flew in late afternoon and honked late into the night. There is a path that goes along the river, playground for the kids, the bathrooms and water weren't turned on (too early) but nicely kept up. Enjoyed very much; would go back.
Nice small (FREE) camp area. Decent sized playground for the kids, fishing, walking trails (horse trails), horseshoe pits, super clean bathrooms. Water spigot, and trash dumpster.
Park is very well maintained.
Kids love it here, only downside is no swimming area that we saw.
Definitely recommend!!
Nice location on a lake for camping and close to Timm’s Hill. Camped overnight for a donation. Note: Restrooms were locked as it was out of season.
