The park was pretty awesome. I hike a lot and it was unique! Fun to see Lake Superior on one side and the Lagoon (which is practically it’s own little lake) on the other side.

Quiet. Nice walking path. Not a ton to adventure off path wise in the State Park area but it was quite nice!

Great camping for out of the city quiet vacation time. The camping host was friendly and helpful. Camping place, showers and toilet was clean.

If you expect rain choose wisely the place for tent.

Wonderful beach and walking from the camping to the state park.

And be prepared to listen to the squirells ;)

Always remember we are the guest on this planet so leave no trace - carry out what you carry in.

Visiting Big Bay Town Park on Madeline Island was an experience that surpassed all my expectations. This park is a true hidden gem, offering a serene escape into nature's embrace.

The park's natural beauty is simply breathtaking. From the lush, green trails that are perfect for a peaceful hike, to the stunning views of the lake, every corner of Big Bay Town Park is a testament to the beauty of the great outdoors. The tranquility of the area is something that photos just can't capture fully; it’s something you have to experience in person.

One of the highlights for me was the sandy beach. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing day by the water, whether you're looking to swim, sunbathe, or just enjoy the scenic views. The water was crystal clear and refreshing, providing a delightful respite on a sunny day.

The park is also well-maintained, which speaks volumes about the dedication of the staff and the community to preserving this natural wonder. The facilities, including picnic areas and restrooms, were clean and convenient, adding to the overall positive experience.

For those who love camping, the park offers a great camping experience with well-spaced sites that allow for privacy while still being close to the natural attractions of the area.

In conclusion, Big Bay Town Park is a must-visit for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat into nature, a family outing, or just a day away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s a place that offers a blend of relaxation, adventure, and scenic beauty. I can't wait to return and explore more of what this beautiful park has to offer.
