We were super excited to stay here.
They only had a 30 amp hook up but we needa 50 amp. She told us they would have a 50 amp available on the 11th.
Great! We decided just stay at a 30 amp until the 11th and then move. We paid for a week and were going to be staying here for 5 weeks.
We got here and she looked at our camper and said she didn’t know if we could make it to the 50 amp hook ups due to the road being washed out.
It was fine we said we’d just stay at a 30 amp and asked to move to a spot with a full hook up. She said we were at a full hook up but no we didn’t have sewer hook up. She said she didn’t have any that worked with sewer.
We couldn’t make it to the dump station because it was also up the washed up road.
So we had no way to stay there.
No refund for what we paid and couldn’t stay.
Beautiful and well maintained campground. The people have been so nice and accommodating to us. I feel safe when I am here. It's very peaceful. I love it here and can't wait to get back!
Absolutely enjoyed the campground. It was only our second time camping with our new camper and the owners were very helpful when signing in and getting set up. He escorted us to our site and even said we could park our vehicle in the next site if we would like to. He explained where the ponds were located and was very friendly to our kids. The campground was very clean and the staff were always picking up unused sites and keeping any limbs in the fire pit for future uses. They made us feel very welcome and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back again when swimming season starts to try out the swimming lake!
I had my camper here for a seasonal spot. I was told when I signed my lease seasonal spots are $2,500 and run from April 1st to November 1st. My receipt says seasonal and stated a $250 deposit was paid. When I checked out after . moving my camper I was told the seasonal spots are actually yearly and I could have kept my camper there until April. I told the owners when I moved in that's not what I was told. They said they don't do seasonal rentals even though that's what my receipt stated. Also they didn't charge me a deposit even though the receipt stated I did. While staying there the owners harassed us every given chance. The lady even came up to me at the beach screaming in my face that I was a rule breaker for having a guest who paid $10 to get in come to my camper. They change the rules every time you are there. They are not friendly and are very money hungry. First said I was only allowed two people at my camper even though my lease stated 3 then said has to be same 3 people everytime no other guests allowed. I stopped by one afternoon to just hang out with my older daughter on a Tuesday afternoon and she came over there questioning what we were doing and my daughter wasn't allowed to be there. This campground could be so nice but unfortunately the owners are horrible. I'll never visit this place again. It's a shame because I did enjoy the campground and the beach. They never turn the slide on and forget having a drink on the beach. They will zoom down there on the golf cart and tell you to get it off the beach.
The couple that owns this establishment (if that’s what you can even call it) are grouchy, money hungry, common day scammers. They will lie, berate you, change the rules, gaslight you into thinking you’re wrong, chase you around, and make any experience on this property a headache. They use every chance they get to squeeze a penny out of people. The swimming is barely open a few hours a day and costs $10 (even if you have a campground here but you’re not on the “approved list”), the slide is never open and costs $2 per slide, the concessions are overpriced Dollar General food ($10 for a Jacks pizza), their karaoke costs $5 to sing a song. They also don’t allow food or drink on the beach. I had water on the beach and the man almost sprinted down to say “GET THOSE OUT!!!” Dramatic. These are just a few examples.
The owners approached us each time we were at the camper interrogating us and asking what we were doing. Don’t waste your time here. You would have a better time camping in your camper in your driveway and having an inflatable pool in the grass.
